Leeuwarden - 14/11/2008 - Previous years the first domino of Domino Day has been toppled by great names like Katie Melua, Lionel Ritchie, Anastacia and Kim Wilde. The tenth edition was a very special one. So the first domino had to be toppled on a special way.
Circus artist Salima Peippo was hanging into ropes that were attached to the roof. Hanging above the start project she was waiting for the big moment: Toppling the first domino of the tenth edition of Domino Day! Suddenly she fell down and for a moment it was as quiet as before a storm. She stopped 1 millimetre above the first domino and then very calmly she toppled the first domino of Domino Day 2008!
Mr. Domino, Robin Paul Weijers was very excited with such a spectacular and breathtaking start of Domino Day 2008. It was an exciting show with lots of beautiful domino fields and tricks. Check our photo gallery to see some preparations of the great show.
